Stop Trying To Rush Home Business Success

home business successStop Trying To Rush Home Business Success

I have not posted in some time on my blog.  It is time to get back into the swing of things in 2016.  I am not going to get into a definition of success in this post as this can be different for everyone.  Now, on to the discussion…

The Four Problems I Have Noticed Relating To Home Business Success

Have you noticed that most new marketers do not want to wait for results.  I get it.  I have been there and still struggle with certain aspects of long term home business success.  Here are a few examples:

  • In a program for a week and no results, so they quit.
  • A new program launches and they join that one even though they have not have much success in the last one.
  • The person posts a few ads, gets no leads, and then decides it doesn’t work.  Then they quite.
  • They descend into a pit of negativity after a very short period of time.

Reality check time!   Here are a few questions to think about:

  1. In a traditional job, do you go from trainee to president of the company in a week?
  2. How much time are you putting into the money making activities for your business?
  3. Are you spending time each day on some type of personal development or training?
  4. Are you taking a shotgun approach to marketing?  How many marketing methods are you using?

Four Tips To Guide You Down The Path Of Home Business Success

  • Expectations need to be managed.  You are not going to go from launching a new business to thousands in sales in a week. I have had very high sales days, but to sustain that income takes daily action.  As an example, someone joins a new program or launches a business.  They have some success the first week, they are energized, create a buzz, but then week two hits, and they might not see as much revenue.  They start doubting that what they are doing works…and then they start looking for solutions.  So, what is the solution…continue on like you did in the first week.
  • home business successTime – I see posts on social media all the time relating to how much time someone spends in their business.  “Who is up grinding?”, etc.   There seems to be a misconception that means you need to stay up late and not sleep to be successful.  NO!  Are there nights where I stay up late to finish something up?  Absolutely, but the key here is efficiency.  Try something…write down everything that you do in a day.  Kind of like tracking calories.  You would not believe how much trivial crap I was doing that did not move my business forward.  You will be shocked how much time you spend on Facebook, etc.  Money making activities should be moving your business forward.  For more info money making activities that will help with home business success – CLICK HERE.
  • Training/Personal Development – Are you consuming some type of personal development or training daily? Why not?  15 minutes a day is my minimum.  Over the course of a year, your daily focus on this will help immensely.  This is one area that I rarely miss each day.  When I am in the car or running, I am listening to something that will help with home business success.
  • Marketing Focus – Here is the last item to discuss.  There seems to be a new marketing “trick” or “skill” that seems to crop up about once per week.  It can become overwhelming on where to spend your time.  I get distracted as well.  The key is to focus on one thing until you start seeing results (you need to set a goal here – for example, consistently generating 25+ leads a day using Facebook).  Focus on one method until you see results.  This again depends on your goals, but don’t spread yourself too thing.
